Sexual dysfunction a clinical term increasingly common for urologists and gynecologists in every corner of the word. We are living in the age of sexual dysfunction, when strains of modern lifestyle render sex into serious concern.

So, what exactly the term sex dysfunction stands for? Not specifically for diseases concerning the sex tract as many may hold true, but certain condition generally of psychological background. Sexual dysfunction troubles one's sex life consequently relationship with partner. By definition, sexual dysfunction is everything that in some level causes distress by lack of interest in sex or fulfillment of sexual activities. The World Health Organization has established criteria to determine when complaint may be referred as sexual dysfunction.

- A sexual dysfunction should last for more than six months at least.
- Sexual dysfunction may arise in specific occasions, and not necessarily every time one engages in sex games.
- Not entirely physical disorder, nor possible to fight off with drug treatment alone.
- There may cause interpersonal difficulties and stress for the patient, particularly when he/she's inducing to have sex.

It is extremely important not to confound a sexual dysfunction with some specific difficulty you face in bed. Most often, it's just a matter of lack of communication between partners, timing, intimacy, experience or even sexual chemistry. In such cases, it's not necessary to seek out advice on sexual dysfunction at your doctor's office.
